![]() Transitioning to the RIT Slack Enterprise Grid is optional student organizations and groups may continue to use your free, non-RIT communications tools if they choose. RIT recognized Student Clubs & Organizations: Creating a space for your club or organization on the Grid allows you to communicate easily within your organization and collaborate with others in the RIT community.Please note that in order to prevent overlap and confusion in your organization, we will request Assoc VP/Dean level approval prior to creating an organization-based workspace for employees. Employees (faculty or staff) requesting a workspace for your college, division, department, or research: complete our Slack workspace request form to begin the process (RIT login required).Faculty requesting a workspace for coursework: visit the Requesting a Slack Course Workspace instructions for detail on how to proceed.Please review our Things to Consider Before Requesting a Workspace page before making a workspace request. ![]() Once you have joined, you can then create or join channels in that workspace, or direct message anyone else at RIT who has already signed into Enterprise Slack.
